Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Aaron Sasser, Jr., 64 of Collins, who passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS.
Reverend Dennis Campbell will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Mr. Sasser was a man with a great since of humor. He enjoyed nature and loved fishing and deer hunting. He worked in the home building industry as a carpenter and builder. Mr. Sasser was a loving brother, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Sasser, Sr. and Margie Ann Buck Sasser; one brother, Hammond Sasser; one sister, Diane Curtis; and one nephew, Chad Miller.
Survivors include his son, Glenn Sasser (Tracie) of Petal, MS; one daughter, Heather Sasser McGrew (Mitch) of Collins; two bonus daughters, Kasey McRaney (Brent) of Collins, and Lynzy Wages (Donald) of Seminary; one brother, Herbert Sasser (Ping) of Collins; two sisters, Marilyn Roberts (James Earl) and Wanda Young, both of Collins; ten grandchildren, Fox Delk, Cooper Abplanalp, Colton Abplanalp, Sam McRaney, Bentley Wages, Noel Sasser, Collins Abplanalp, Keira McRaney, Mylei Kate Wages, and Penelope Wages; and a host of nieces and nephews.
