Alton loved many and was loved by many.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all those who knew him.  Alton's journey on this earthly plane was both profound and fleeting, leaving behind a legacy that defies mere words.  His name was not just a label; it was an embodiment of love, laughter, and resilence.  Alton's passing has left a void-an ache that defies healing.  We gather not to mourn but to celebrate a life well lived but gone too soon.  His wife, Kristie, stood by his side, weathered storms and basking in sunsets.  Their love was a beacon--a rare magic that others strived for.  Alton, may your spirit soar beyond the clouds, carried by the whispers of those who loved you.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd  Bryant Channell and Coleen Papizan Channell;  one grandson, Hudson Tisdale;  and one granddaughter, Kylie Tisdale.

Survivors include his wife, Kristie Woolwine Channell of Seminary; four sons, Zachary Tisdale (Claudia) of Petal, Abdull Holder (Naomi) of Petal, Bryant (Tre`) Channell (Katrina) of Seminary and Adam Channell of Seminary; one brother, Steve Newsome (Annette) of Cow Pens, SC;  two sisters, Darlene Dickerson (Mickey) of Magnolia, MS and Lori Vicente of Crystal Springs, MS;  two grandsons, Hunter Brewer of Petal, Owen Jackson of Petal; two granddaughters, Annabelle Tisdale of Petal and Harper Tisdale of Petal, and a host of nieces and nephews.
