Memorial services will be held at a later date for Amanda Janell Ward, 47, of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at her residence. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Amanda was born September 13, 1975, in Gulfport, Mississippi, to Sammy and Pam Ward, where she lived until she moved to LaPlace, Louisiana at the age of 14. She later returned to Gulfport before settling in Collins in 2005. She was actively involved at both The Well Church in Magee and Waco Church of God in Mize. Amanda was a group leader at Bent NOT Broken Life Recovery, raising money for addiction awareness while leading many lives to Christ. She also participated in various benefits and prison ministries. She was a loving and caring daughter to her parents, sister to her siblings, aunt to her nieces and nephews, and friend to her friends, and she will be long remembered and dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Charley Ward.

Survivors include her parents, Sammy and Pam Ward of Collins; brothers, Frank Ryan (Penny) of Tupelo, Mississippi, and Todd Ryan (Leighann) of Oxford, Mississippi; a special friend, Becca Massengale of Magee, Mississippi; aunts and uncles, Mike Ward (Donna) of Collins, Henry Hill (Elaine) of Port Saint Joe, Florida, Stevan Hill (Charlotte) of Santa Monica, California and Taska Bentura (Frank) of Sugarland, TX; nieces and nephews, Blake, Jake, Courtney, Calee, Kaylee, and Acy; a great nephew, Houston; and many extended family members and friends.
