Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive for Annie Lois Taylor Bankston, 92, of Mount Olive, who passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Lakeside Nursing Home in Quitman, Mississippi.

Brother Reese Douglas, Jr. and Brother Bo Bankston will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Myrick Cemetery in Laurel.  Special music will be provided by Miss Kayte Avera.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive.

Mrs. Bankston was born on Tuesday, January 25, 1927 in Wayne County, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  Mrs. Bankston was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Bankston, Sr.; her parents, Henry A. Taylor and Julia Clark Taylor; a daughter, Sharon Floyd; one sister, Sybil Buckalew; and three brothers, Clark Wayne Taylor, H.A. Taylor, and Pat Taylor.

Survivors include one son, Forrest "Bo" Bankston, Jr. (Deborah) of Meridian; one daughter, Patricia Jones (Tony) of Lumberton; two sisters, Faye Chestang of Axis, Alabama and Bonnie Bonner of Clara; eleven grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; thirty great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Joe Bankston, John Bankston, Jason Jones, Billy Smith, Cole Avera, Jerramy Jones, and Billy Roberts.  Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Floyd, J.R. Floyd, and Steven Jones.
