Barbara Jean Brock Karolyi

(February 19, 1930 – June 9, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary for Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Brock Karolyi, 91 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Brother Joe Lott will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Pam Eakes, Mrs. Happy Sullivan, and Mr. Bob Thames.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wade, Adam Wade, John Pope, Justin Finney, Greg Sullivan, and Rex Garrick.

Mrs. Karolyi was born on February 19, 1930 in Forest, Louisiana to Eugie Joseph "E.J." Brock and Verdie Isabelle Dossett Brock.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Mrs. Karolyi retired from LeAnn's Fabrics in Hattiesburg after twenty plus years of service in the fabric industry.  She enjoyed spending time working in your yard with her plants and flowerbeds.  Mrs. Karolyi did crocheting in her spare time, making afghans and baby blankets for her family and friends.  She believed in discipline just ask any of her children and grandchildren.  Mrs. Karolyi was a member of the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Karolyi; her parents, Eugie Joseph "E.J." Brock and Verdie Isabelle Dossett Brock; a sister, JoLyn Rogers; and a brother, Charles Brock.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Karolyi, and his wife, Susan of Seminary, and Don Karolyi of Seminary; one daughter, Mary K. "Sissy" Wade, and her husband, Billy Ray of Seminary; two sisters, Lois Simmons of Collins and Sarah Carley of Purvis; one brother, Jimmy Brock of Mobile, Alabama; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Wade (Melissa), Adam Wade (Jessica), Rebecca Karolyi Pope (John), and Jennifer Karolyi Finney(Justin); ten great-grandchildren, Bela Pope, Blayne Pope, Blaire Pope, Isabella Finney, Andrew Wade, Rachel Wade, Joseph Wade, Darcy Wade, A.J. Wade, and Owen Wade; and a host of nieces and nephews.
