Barbara Kay Dossett

(January 15, 1955 – December 4, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at The Springs Church in Collins for Barbara Kay Dossett, 66 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Reverend West Garner and Reverend Brian Dickens will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Cold Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Special music will be provided by Reverend West Garner and Reverend Brian Dickens.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at The Springs Church, 983 Cold Springs Road, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.

Pallbearers will be Jason Little, Ed Little, Thomas Little, Colby Trigg, Ronnie Blackwell, and Jared Beard.  Honorary pallbearers will be Blaine Williamson and Gavin Harrison.

Barbara was born on January 15, 1955 in Magee, Mississippi to Orlan and Pearlie "Dot" Allen Little.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and nanny.  Barbara was retired from the Covington County School System after twenty-five plus years of service as an office secretary.  She was a member of The Springs Church, and was very active in the Mary and Martha Sunday School Class.

Barbara was a sweet and kind-hearted person.  She enjoyed working in her yard and loved spending time with her family and friends.  Barbara will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlan and Pearlie "Dot" Allen Little; and one granddaughter, Kaylan Reid Ainsworth.

Survivors include her husband of forty-years, Billy Frank Dossett of Collins; two sons, Chris Ainsworth, and his wife, Lisa of Lumberton, and Brian Dossett, and his wife, Angela of Seminary; three grandchildren, Brook Ainsworth, Logan Ainsworth, and Bella Ainsworth; one sister, Glenda Williamson of Magee; one brother, Carroll "Butch" Little, and his wife, Felicia of Mize; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The Springs Church, 983 Cold Springs Road, Collins MS. 39428, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6520 North Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309-2132.  All of these charities were near and dear to Mrs. Barbara.
