Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Bennie Joe "Boe" Moudy, 66, of Seminary, who passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Pastor Nathan Morales and Pastor Jerry Dillon will officiate the services with interment to follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Mr. Boe was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, on November 15, 1956, to James and Emma Moudy. He was raised in Canton, and spent the majority of his career as an over-the-road truck driver. Together, Mr. Boe and Mrs. Robin covered all of the continental United States on the truck. Mr. Boe had a passion for restoration—he restored antique furniture, cars, and motorcycles. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels, cracking jokes, and riding his motorcycle. Most of all, he loved visiting and reminiscing with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Mathias Moudy; mother, Emma Jewel Moss Moudy; a brother, Terry Lamar Moudy; and a brother-in-law, Johnny P. Mooney.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Robin Bernice Mooney Moudy of Seminary; daughters; Amber Leigh Moudy of Canton, Mississippi, Joe Anna Gayle Moudy of Seminary; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Miranda, and Madelyn Moudy; Siblings, James Arthur Moudy (Sarah), Bobbie Daniel Moudy (Betty), Joe Ann Parker (Billy Dale), Billy Ray Moudy (Flora), Nancy Elaine Powell (Danny); a sister-in-law, Katie Moudy; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
