Bertha Mae Roberts
(November 1, 1944 – June 5, 2024)

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Bertha Mae Roberts, 79 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Bertha was born on November 1, 1944, in Seminary, Mississippi to Archie Mooney and Ruby Lowery Wade. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Mooney and Ruby Lowery Wade; her husband, Larry Roberts; one son, Allan Sumrall; and one brother, James B. Mooney.
Survivors include her son, Jonathan Stell of Seminary; one brother, Archie Mooney (Gloria) of Seminary; three sisters, Vickie Harrell (Billy) of Seminary, Maxine Anderson of Seminary and Teresa Herring (Tim) of Beaumont; one sister-in-law, Patsy Mooney of Seminary; two granddaughters, Kimberly Squires (Will) of Sumrall and Deborah Sumrall of Key West, Florida; four great grandchildren, Justin Squires, Kaley Squires, Taylor Squires and Jordan Squires and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
