Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Betty Ann Roberts, 49 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.
Reverend Nelson Crozier, Reverend Michael Giles, and Mrs. Ellen Giles will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Special music will be provided by Ed Meadows, Jack Magee, Matthew Magee, and Shelley Gendusa. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Justin Badon, Marty Bergin, Jeffery Graham, Keith Kent, Clint Roberts, Noah Roberts, and Jeff Vance. Honorary pallbearers will be Megan White and the employees of the Mississippi Board of Animal Health.
Miss Roberts was born on March 11, 1967 in Collins, Mississippi. She was the Poultry Division Director for the Mississippi Board of Animal Health and has been employed with them for the last twenty five years. Miss Roberts attended the Rock Hill Baptist Church in Mount Olive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry E. "Peewee" Roberts.
Survivors include her mother, Shirley Martin Roberts of Mount Olive; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Danna Roberts of Mount Olive; one niece, Hannah Camille Roberts of Jackson; one nephew, Noah Lawrence Roberts of Hattiesburg; a heartfelt sister, Sherry Olson of Mount Olive; a special friend, Dan Magee of Jackson; several special children in her life, Landon and Hayden Kent, Sara McKee, Adam and Landon Brinson, Joseph Graham, Tanner and Abby Graham, and Blake McDonald; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock Hill Baptist Church, Attention: Women of Missions, 518 Rock Hill Road, Mount Olive, MS. or the Forrest General Foundation, Attention: Asbury Hospice House, 304 South 40th Avenue, Hattiesburg, MS. 39402.
