Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Betty Jean Sanford Stubbs, 86 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her residence.
Reverend Dennis Campbell will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Donna Campbell. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dale Yawn, Michael Yawn, John Runnels, Danny Joe Runnels, Will Briscoe and Glenn Speed. Honorary pallbearer will be Rudolph Wade.
Mrs. Stubbs was born on February 10, 1933 in Collins, Mississippi. She retired from Covington County Hospital after forty plus years of service as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Stubbs was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Jefferson Sanford and Lois L. Wilson Sanford; her husband, Hugh James Stubbs; and one sister, Mary Pauline Sanford Rivers.
Survivors include two sisters, Jerry Sue Sanford Jones, and her husband, Henry of Collins, and Elaine Sanford Gentry of Mount Olive; a special friend, Paul Runnels of Mount Olive; six nieces and nephews, Mary Virginia Lowery (Jimmy), Randy Lynn Rivers (Shelley), Hope Renee' Daley (Larry), Sheila Chachere (Robert), Tammy Anita Briscoe, and Kyle Michael Jones; and a host of great nieces and nephews..
