Billie Sue Harper

(April 15, 1934 – December 13, 2023)

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Billy M. King – Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Billie Sue Harper, 89, of Collins, who passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in Hattiesburg, MS.

Pastor Bob Goolsby will officiate the services with interment to follow in the Mount Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Music will be provided by Katie Warren. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Billy M. King – Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Billie Sue was born on April 15, 1934, in Collins, Mississippi, to Pruner and Ada Lou Lott. She graduated from Collins High School and lived most of her life in Collins until she moved to her daughter's home in Petal in her later years. She was a longtime faithful member of Mount Horeb Baptist Church in Collins and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Runnelstown after moving to Petal. A loving mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be dearly missed by her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Ralph Glenn Harper; father, Pruner Lott; mother, Ada Lou Cameron Lott; sisters, Audrey Lott, Catherine Ingram, Janie Dickerson and Rachel Lott; a brother, Buddy Lott; and a granddaughter, Shauna Black.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Dye (Tommy) and Jane Collier (Mark), both of Petal, Mississippi; grandchildren, Tommy Glenn Dye, Jr. (Julie), Timothy Dye (Mandy), Yancy Harper, Trent Dye (Anna), Stephanie Pierpont (Brandon), Nathan Collier (Teresa), Angel Mishra (Jay) and Trevor Harper; great grandchildren, Chantz Black (Marissa), Carley Black, Abby Black, Ada Harper, Braden Harper, Nevaeh Mishra, Ivy Pierpont, Harper Collier, Bailey Pierpont, Katie Warren (Justin), Chris Dye, Dylan Dye, Connor Dye and Erin Dye; one great great granddaughter, Mia Black; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
