Billy Gerald Harvey

(August 17, 1958 – March 8, 2023)

Memorial services will be held at a later date for Billy Gerald Harvey, 64, of Petal, who passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Petal.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Gerald was born in Laurel and grew up in Covington County. As an adult, he was known as a "jack-of-all-trades" because he was seemingly able to build or do anything. He was a Christian and a member of Station Creek Baptist Church. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and would do anything he could to help them in a time of need.

He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Gerald Harvey, Jr.; daughter, Susan Lee Harvey; parents, Evans Monroe and Jewel Faye Crosby Harvey; brother, Kenneth Ray Harvey; sister, Debra Faye Mumme; nieces, Amanda Lynn Harvey and Terri Lynn Thames.

Survivors include his daughter, Kim Harvey of Columbia, Mississippi; sister, Linda "Tiny" Hosey of Collins; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
