A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Sanford for Billy Don Mills, 76 of Seminary, who passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Merit Health-Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Brian Dickens will officiate at the service. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date with interment in the Seminary Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Sanford in Seminary.

Mr. Mills was born on June 27, 1942 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mr. Mills had a Doctorate in Theology from Felton University. He worked numerous years in the ministry, as well as owning and operating Billy Don's Bail Bonds Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.W. (Dubby) and Helen Lucille Smith (Mama Ceil) Mills; his daughter, Laurie Walker Mills Mooney; one brother, Larry Carlton Mills; and his granddaughter, Mallory Mason Mooney.

Survivors include his wife of thirty six years, Laura Lieber Mills of Seminary; one son, Billy Don (Chip) Mills, Jr., and his wife, Joyce of Sumrall; one brother, Robert W. (Bob) Mills, Jr., and his wife, Dianne of Troy, Alabama; one granddaughter, Ashley Burt of San Marcos, Texas; one great-grandson, Zayden Alexander Campos of San Marcos, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
