Billy M. Tyson, 85, of Collins, MS died Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Tuesday, October 13, 1931 in Sunflower County, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 08, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Billy M. King Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 09, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Union South Baptist Church in Seminary, MS. Burial will follow in Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary, MS. Mr Tyson served the public for 25 years as a Mississippi Highway Patrolman and also as a Covington County Deputy Sheriff. He also was a proud member of the Shriners Organization. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grand father and friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wiley M. Tyson, mother Rebecca Tyson, brother, Foster Tyson, sister, Hazel Thompson, sister, Pauline Deweese, sister, Dolly Deweese, sister, Ollie Brown, brother, Frank Tyson, brother, Luther Tyson, sister, Mary Thompson, sister, Hattie Jenkins.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Tyson, Collins, MS, son, Mickey Tyson (Jamie), Hattiesburg, MS, daughter, Tonia Shows (Darren), Seminary, MS, grand children, Scott Tyson (LaDona), Summer Tyson, Sunny Tyson, Payton Shows Conn(Austin), Drew Taylor Shows, great-grandchildren, Claire Tyson and Norah Tyson, brother, Jack Tyson, Robertsdale, AL, sister, Jean Pennington, Bastop, LA.

Pallbearers will be Mississippi Highway Patrol J Troop.
