Bonnie Lee Sellers Harvey

(July 16, 1929 – August 12, 2023)

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Bonnie Lee Sellers Harvey, 94, of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at her residence.

Reverend Reese Douglas will officiate the services with additional comments from Mrs. Betty Fry and interment to follow in the Blakely Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Music will be provided by Mrs. Sharolyn Magee. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Shad Harvey, Lee Harvey, Cody Harvey, Scott White, Eric Foster, and Mike Hollingsworth.

Mrs. Bonnie was born July 16, 1929, in Simpson County, Mississippi. She was a longtime member of Blakely Creek Baptist Church. She is remembered for her cooking, her love for flowers and plants, and her collections of candy jars, dolls, dishes, clocks, and ceramic frogs. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be sorely missed by her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Wiley Harvey; father, Joe Barney Sellers; mother, Annie Lois Lyons Ferguson; sons, Randall Harvey and Tony Harvey; daughters-in-law, Sheila Harvey and Opal Harvey; two brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include her children, Betty Harvey Fry (Darroch) of Katy, Texas, Barbara Harvey Graham (Mike) of Collins, and Russell Harvey of Collins; daughter-in-law, Ellen Harvey; grandchildren, Chris Harvey, Marsie White (Scott), Shad Harvey (Annette), Tonja Shaffer (Troy), Anna Hollingsworth (Mike), Jacob Harvey, Eric Foster (Delaney), Josh Fry, Katie Harvey, and Kristin Harvey; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
