Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in M ize for Brenda Sue Sharp Mc L emore, 77, of Mount Olive, who passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at her r esidence .
R everend John Barnes will officiate the services with interment to follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 27, 2023 , and from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 pm on Frid ay, April 28, 2023, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 507 SCR 28, Mize, Mississippi, 39116 .
Pallbearers will be Colby Duckworth, A.J. Williamson, Wes Crocker, Max Sharp, Darrell Ainsworth , and Todd Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny West, Hubert West, and Wally Jones.
Mrs. McLemore was born on January 16, 1946, in M agee, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Mount Olive H igh Sc hool Cl ass of 1963 and attended business school at Jones County Junior Colleg e . Mrs. McLem ore reti red from Northern E lectric-Sunbeam Com pany after th ir ty years of service as a plant super visor. After her retir ement, s he went b ack to Jones County Junior College an d earned an Associate of Arts degree in nursing. She was a Licensed Pr actical Nurse and worked for several years in the healthcare industry. Mrs. Mc Lemore was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mize. She was a loving w i fe, mot her, grandmother, and sister . Mrs. McLemore loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray McLemore; her parents, Colbert Sharp and Jeffie Sullivan Sharp Reeves; her step father, Corbet Reeves; and t wo brothers, James Anthony "Tony" Sharp and Robert Maxwell "Mack" Sharp.
Survivors include two sons, Dale McLemore (Alicia) of Hattiesburg and Dwayne McLemore of Canton ; two daughters, Kim McLemore Duckworth and Kristi McLemore Allen (Will) , both of Mount Olive; one sister, Debbie Sharp Ainsworth (Darrell) of Mount Olive; five grandchildren, Ashley Duckworth Williamson (A .J.), Colby Duckworth (Kamrie Paige Walters), Tiffany Crocker (Wes), Mer rit McLemore, and Luke McLemo re; s ix great - grandchildren, Maddox Williamson, Kad ee Williamson, L awson Williamson, Bryson Crocker, Caiden Crocker, and Paisleigh Cro cker; four sister s -in-law , Geraldine Sharp of Mount Olive, Julia Sharp of Ovett, Connie McLemore of Hattiesburg , and Gloria Faye McLemore Shelton of Wasilla, Alaska ; and a host of nieces and nephews.
