Edward "Buddy" Burkhalter

(October 6, 1944 – March 25, 2019)

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Edward "Buddy" Burkhalter, 74, of Collins, who passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at his residence.

Bro. Seth Bond will officiate at the services.   Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.601-795-1010.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Jackson, Adam Dyess, Derrick Dyess, Carl Burkhalter, Allen Ray Dyess and Eddie Joe Jackson.

Buddy was a faithful husband and father who worked and sacrificed his entire life to provide for his family.  He was a man of faith who loved the Lord and lived out his faith daily.  He was a "best friend" to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Saulters Burkhalter; parents, Harvey Haston Burkhalter and Pearlie Victoria Burkhalter and  sisters, Virginia Prevost and Melvinia Gibson.

Survivors include his children, Barbara Dyess (Allen Ray), Faye Loggins (Joe Jackson), Judy Roberts (Gary), Carl Burkhalter (Susie); grandchildren, Adam Dyess, Derrick Dyess, Eddie Joe Jackson, Ashley Norris, Melody Jackson, Malea Brumfield, Whitney Graves, Zachary Bridges, Manuel Armenta, Nataly Armenta, Ashley Contreras, Angel Contreras; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
