Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary for Candice Gaynell Bryant Woolwine, 78 of Seminary, who passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Brother Joe Lott, Brother Clay Williamson, and Brother Wayne Woolwine will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Jesse Bryant Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Greg Sullivan Family Quartet. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, September 11, 2025, and fro 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.
Pallbearers will be Richard Woolwine, Greg Sullivan, Kyle Sullivan, Crawford Sullivan, Don Lowery, and Barry Lowery . Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Graham and Bob Brown.
Mrs Woolwine was born on June 15, 1947, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to James Lamar Bryant and Mary Dovie Duckworth Bryant. She was the owner and operator of Bryant's Store in the Sanford community for the last twenty-seven years. Mrs. Woolwine was active member of the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be greatly missed by allof her family and friends in the community.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James E. Moore and Woody Woolwine Jr.; her daughter, Candice "Candy" Moore; her parents, James Lamar Bryant and Mary Dovie Duckworth Bryant;and her sister, Mary Wydell Bryant Davis.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Candice Rivers Graves of Seminary; two great-grandchildren, Tatum Graves and Henleigh Graves; her nephew, Sidney "Pedro" Davis (Marie) of Seminary; and a host of adopted children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
