Carolyn Blackwell Davis Wiggins

(September 19, 1932 – August 5, 2020)

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Bassfield for Carolyn Blackwell Davis Wiggins, 87 of Collins, who passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the Landmark of Collins in Collins.

Reverend Brenda McClendon will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Bassfield.  Special music will be provided by Jay Baggett.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mrs. Wiggins was born on September 19, 1932 in Ellisville, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Mrs. Wiggins retired from Lamar Bank after twenty-five years of service as a bank teller. She was a member of the Seminary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Ray Blackwell and Ethel Welch Blackwell; her husbands, Thomas Jefferson Davis and Robert Owen Wiggins; and two sisters, an infant sister, and Linda Blackwell Speed.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Davis Hux, and her husband, Rick of Seminary; a step son, Rob Wiggins of Hattiesburg; a granddaughter, Staci Hux of Seminary; one sister, Willie Newton, and her husband, George of Marietta, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Mississippi Chapter, 207 West Jackson Suite #1, Ridgeland, Mississippi, 39157.
