Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Carolyn Parish Riley, 76 of Collins, who passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at her residence.
Brother Chuck Parish will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Special music will be provided by Ms. Beverly Abernathy. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Brian Abernathy, Kevin Davis, A.J. Riley, Will Parish, Brandon Knight, and Randy Wade.
Mrs. Riley was born on March 23, 1943. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Riley was a homemaker. She attended the Jesus Name Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Seminary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Riley; her son, James Arthur Riley, her parents, Edward Parish, Sr. and Helen Doris Parish; her siblings, Jimmy D. Parish, Larry Parish, and Ed Parish, Jr.; and two nephews, Gabe Parish and Max Parish.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Lonnie Smith of Sumrall; a daughter-in-law, Marie Riley of Collins; four grandchildren, Keri Eubanks Abernathy, and her husband, Brian of Pearl, A.J. Riley, and his wife, Blair of Hattiesburg, Steven Smith, and his wife, Elizabeth of Hattiesburg, and Brittany Riley of Hattiesburg; two great-granddaughters, Ava Abernathy and Ali Abernathy; one brother, Charles Ray Parish, and his wife, Nanci of Picayune; one sister, Myra Parish Hernandez of Collins; her best friend, Patti Boleware of Seminary; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
