A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Carrie Michelynn Thomas Fortenberry , 43 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg .

Brother Steve Carter will officiate at the services. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Mrs. Fortenberry was born on June 4, 1975 in Pascagoula , Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Fortenberry was employed by Pine Hill Farms as a poultry worker, She was a member of the Williamsburg Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Janet Ferrell Johnson; a great nephew, Cayden Zade Magee, and her aunt, Jan Boudreaux .

Survivors include her husband of twenty-four years, James Fortenberry of Collins; her mother, Deborah King of Collins; her father, David King of Collins; three children, Christopher Ace Fortenberry (Abby Hollingsworth),
Kaitlyn Dawn Fortenberry ( ZaQuan Wheeler), and Tyler Cade Fortenberry, all of Collins ; two sisters, Crystal Lynn Johnson, and Casie Ann Marcel, both of Collins; four grandchildren, Dracen Christopher Fortenberry, Zaiden  Christopher Fortenberry , Carlynn Elizabeth Hollingsworth, and Kashton Ray Wheeler; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
