(August 3, 1942 – February 20, 2026)
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Catherine Ann Pickering "Cathey" Aultman, 83 of Seminary, who passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at her residence.
Brother Jansen Bounds and Brother Gary Shows will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Seminary Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mr. Noah Sanford. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.
Pallbearers will be Michael Kelly, Christopher Sanford, William Folkes, Mark Ross, Zac Blackwell, and David Hemeter.
Catherine (Cathey) Ann Pickering Aultman was born on August 3, 1942, to John Curtis Pickering and Iva Jean Hosey Pickering. Mrs. Aultman was a graduate of Seminary High School. She continued her education at the University of Southern Mississippi where she went on to receive her specialist degree. Having served as an educator for over 35 years within the Covington County School District, Mrs. Aultman's influence on her numerous students extended significantly beyond the confines of the classroom. She held a deep respect for education and consistently motivated her students to strive for excellence. Her aspiration was for them to continue their educational journey and realize their ambitions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wayne Aultman; and her parents, John Curtis Pickering and Iva Jean Hosey Pickering.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Aultman Sanford (Danny) and Lisa Aultman Kelly (Ronnie), both of Seminary, and Karen Aultman Folkes (Wayne) of Hattiesburg; five grandchildren, Michael Kelly (Melissa), Carolyn Kelly, Christopher Sanford (Ashtin), William Folkes (Adrianna) and Katie Folkes Blackwell (Zac); seven great-grandchildren, Bellah Kelly, Bailee Kelly, Bowen Kelly, Henley Sanford, Dawson Sanford, Maribel Lou Sanford, and Magnolia Marie Folkes; and a host of other family members and friends.
