Cathy J. Smith

(April 21, 1956 – March 11, 2020)

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Seminary for Cathy J. Smith, 63 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Asbury House in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Glenn Shoemake will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Sadie Jordan.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1008 Highway 590, Seminary, MS 39479.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Smith, Blake Simpson, Logan Smith, Samuel Jordan, Brandon Hand, and Walt Boleware.

Mrs. Smith was born on April 21, 1956 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Mrs. Smith enjoyed carpentry, landscaping, and helping take care of all children.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she has served as the church secretary for numerous years.

She was preceded in death by her father, C.F. Boleware.

Survivors include her husband of forty-six years, Leon Smith of Seminary; her mother,  Catherine Jones Boleware of Seminary; three daughters, Catrina Reid, and her husband, Doug of Laurel, Contina Mauldin, and her husband, Jerry of Seminary, and Nicole Anderson, and her husband, Dustin of Seminary; six siblings, Lee Boleware (Nancy), Judy Williamson (Kenny), Sadie Jordan (Sammy), Mitchell Boleware (Cathy Kay), and Tammy Hand , all of Seminary, and Tina Enns (Barney) of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Christian Smith, Courtney Cherry, Blake Simpson, Logan Smith, Kaelyn Anderson, Lily Anderson, and Shianne Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Kendall Smith, R.J. "RyRy" Smith, Jr., Raylee Cherry, Jacelynn Mauldin, and Marley Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
