Charles Ray Craft

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Williamsburg Baptist Church in Collins for Charles Ray Craft, 83 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Reverend Ronnie Purser and Reverend Dennis Campbell will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Williamsburg Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Susan Deen, Mrs. Babette Duty, and Miss Gracelyn Stringer. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, and from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Williamsburg Baptist Church, 912 Lake Mike Conner Road, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.
Pallbearers will be Paul Meadows. Gary Meadows, Johnny Moorhead, Alex McDonald, Drew Craft, and Jamie Craft. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Strebeck, Bruce Holder, Mark Young, Bob Faler, and Tommy Burton.
Mr. Craft was born on November 7, 1942, in Mize, Mississippi to Albert Earl Craft and Velma Sullivan Craft. He was a graduate of Mize High School Class of 1960. Mr. Craft was a carpenter by trade for most of his working life. He was employed by the maintenance department of the Covington County School District for thirteen years before his retirement. Mr. Craft was an active member and deacon of the Williamsburg Baptist Church. He loved car racing and was a flagman at the races for many years. Mr. Craft also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Earl Craft and Velma Sullivan Craft; his wife of forty-five years, Lynette Burton Craft; and two sisters, Geraldine Meadows, and Easter Bynum.
Survivors include two sons, Burt Craft (Kelly) and Stephen Craft, both of Collins; one daughter, Audra Craft McDonald (Michael) of Collins; one brother, Royce Craft (Wanda) of Mize; two sisters, Earline Meadows and Sarah Williamson, both of Mize; five grandchildren, Drew Craft (Tiffany), Jamie Craft (Mandy), Alex McDonald (Sarah), Mason McDonald, and Adrian McDonald Watson (James); nine great-grandchildren, Trevor Craft, Madison Craft, Haven Craft, Bryce Ogletree, Jasper McDonald, Alice McDonald, Stella McDonald, Aidynn Breazeal, and Jamian Charles Watson; a special friend and caretaker, Misty Johnson; and a host of nieces, and nephews.
