Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, May 29, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church in Seminary Mississippi for Charles Ray Crosby, 87 of Seminary, who passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Reverend Tony Knotts will officiate at the services at the church at 12:00 pm with interment to follow in the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary, Mississippi. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Trinity Baptist Church, 190 Ray Harvey Road, Seminary, Mississippi, 39479.
His pallbearers will be Carl Mansley, Jason Mansley, Justin Anderson, James Cooley, Joseph Holifield, Brian Nicholson, Jock Stapleton, Aubrey Williamson, and Rodney Lowery..
Mr. Crosby was born on November 5, 1938, in Covington County, Mississippi. He retired after forty-four years of service as a tugboat captain. He married Anne, the love of his life, in 1960 until her passing in 1998. Mr. Crosby was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Seminary. He was a generous man with a heart full of love. Mr. Crosby was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-eight, Anne Lowery Crosby; his parents, Marlon Roland Crosby and Zadie Ingram Crosby; two sisters, Robbie Fay Crosby Mooney and Jean Crosby Parker; his son-in-law, David Jones; and an honorary grandson, Terry Elliot.
Survivors include one son, Greg Crosby (Cheryle) of Seminary; one daughter, Rhonda Crosby Jones of Seminary; one sister, Eva Carolyn Knotts of Seminary; five grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Christy Hunter (Bryan), Amanda Korellio (Zano), Brittany Quito (Kevin), and Catie Rector (Jonathan); three great-grandchildren, Miriam Quito, Ruth Quito, and Kai Korellio; a special grand dog, Lizzie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
