Christopher Donavan Bernard

A memorial service will be held at a later date for Christopher Donavan Bernard, 29 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the Covington County Hospital in Collins.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Donavan was born on August 13, 1991, in Pascagoula, Mississippi.  He was a loving husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend.  He enjoyed wood working, gardening, any intellectual pursuits, and his dog (Hickory). He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Haleigh Young Bernard of Collins; father, Christopher Allen Bernard and Brandy, of Lucedale; mother, Amanda Jo Gray and Matthew, Sr. of Collins; five brothers, Matthew Gray Jr. and his wife, Christy, of Terry, Austin Gray of Terry, Brandon Bernard and his wife, Ashton, of Sumrall, and Cody Gray and his wife, Mylee, of Madison, Hunter Johnson of Lucedale; three sisters, Brooke Bernard Miller and her husband, Cole, of Collins, Paige Tanner and her husband, Dillon, of Lucedale, and Ashlyn Johnson and her fiancée Cole Gibson, of Lucedale; nephews and nieces, Landon, Brayden, Kinsley Jo, Hallie, John Thomas, Elias, Zoey, Gunner, William Elliott, Jamison; many loving grandparents; and a host of other family members and friends.
