Cindy was born on March 19, 1968, in Louisville, Mississippi to Victor D. and Evelyn Ferguson Sasser.  She was a graduate of the Collins High School Class of 1986.  Cindy retired from the Collins Police Department after twenty-five years of service as a law enforcement officer.  She was loved dearly by the City of Collins.   Her warm smile was seen walking the halls of the Collins Elementary school where she loved every student.  Cindy was also a welcomed and friendly face to the elderly and shut-ins when she stopped by for her weekly visits. Cindy's love for the City of Collins was evident throughout her career. She had a heart of gold and it showed in her love for her family, friends, and animals. Cindy was a member of the Calhoun Baptist Church.  She was very strong in her faith in the Lord and it carried her through her long battle with cancer.  Cindy will be greatly missed by her family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Johnnie M. Ferguson and Hermon Lee Ferguson; her paternal grandparents, Margie Rutland Sasser and Otho David Sasser; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her parents, Victor D. Sasser and Evelyn Ferguson Sasser, both of Collins; one brother, David  Sasser of Collins; one niece, Kara Sasser of Collins; two nephews, Jonathan Sasser and Hudson Sasser, both of Collins; three aunts, Kathleen Ferguson Mitchell, Mildred Nowell, and Hildred Huddleston; three uncles, Vernon Sasser, Daniel Stanley, and Jack Ferguson; two close friends and caregivers, Tammy Madden and Doris Jane Bishop; and a host of cousins and other family members.
