Clara Mignon Hutchinson Beasley

(February 10, 1930 – February 19, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Sumrall for Clara Mignon Hutchinson Beasley, 91 of Seminary, who passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Covington County Hospital in Collins.

Reverend Phillip Cooper will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.  Billy M. King- Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins, and from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Sumrall.

Pallbearers will be Jay Fairchild, Wayne Robertson, Tommy Beasley, Charles Everett Beasley, Dale Glasscock, and Jacky Miller.

Mrs. Beasley was born on February 10, 1930 in Covington County, Mississippi to Rufus and Hassie Evans Hutchinson.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Mrs. Beasley retired after thirty plus years of service as a floral designer.  She worked for numerous florists in the area throughout her career.  Mrs. Beasley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sumrall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Hassie Evans Hutchinson; her husband, Henry W. Beasley; and one sister, Montee Hutchinson Wade.

Survivors include her son, Danny H. Beasley, and his wife, Effie of Seminary; four grandchildren, Jessica Mignon Beasley, Leon "Jay" Fairchild (Jennifer), Sarah Shows, and Kelly Prestenbach (Adam); twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Katherine Hutchinson Ady of Laurel and Daisy Hutchinson Coulter, and her husband, James of Bassfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
