Mrs. Knight was born on November 28, 1932 in Collins, Mississippi to Richard "Rich" W. Dickens and Thelma Jane Sullivan Dickens. She was a graduate of the Salem High School. Mrs. Knight was a loving wife, mama, mawmaw, and homemaker. Her warmth was reflected through the open doors of her home which was filled with her children and grandchildren that she lovingly reared. Mrs. Knight joyfully opened her heart and home to everyone in her community. Everyone looked forward to Sunday lunch at Mawmaw's and she would say if you leave hungry, it was your own fault. She never saw any racial divide with people, she was a friend to all. Mrs. Knight loved the Lord and was a member of the Station Creek Baptist Church. She loved to see people prosper and she encouraged her children and grandchildren to work hard. Mrs. Knight was a blessing to her family and community and will be dearly missed.
