Clayton Jon Calhoun

(April 7, 1956 – April 21, 2019)

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for Clayton Jon Calhoun, 63 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at his residence.

There will be a time of remembrance and fellowship from 5:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Special Music will be provided by Mrs. Babette Duty and Mr. B.J. Shoemaker.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Calhoun was born on April 7, 1956 in Sacramento, California. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Mr. Calhoun retired from the Covington County Hospital in February after sixteen years of service as a Registered Nurse. He also worked at other medical facilities in the area.  Mr. Calhoun was a United States Navy veteran.  He was a member of the Presbyterian faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Calhoun and Jean I. Winsness Calhoun.

Survivors include his sister, Patricia A. Smith of Danville, California; three nephews, Rod Smith, Aaron Smith, and Garrett Smith; his work family at the Covington County Hospital; and a host of other family members and friends.
