Colby Brian Williamson

(May 14, 2001 – August 13, 2026)

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Hattiesburg Community Church for Colby Brian Williamson, 25 of Seminary, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Cliff Lazenby, Reverend Heath Ellingburg, and Reverend Ray Cummings will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Reverend Heath Ellingburg and Mr. Ed Phillips. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Hattiesburg Community Church, 114 Newell-Sullivan Road, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, 39401.

His pallbearers will Dean Estes. Doug Estes, Landon Keyes, Michael Gipson, Kris Dennis, Nathan Dennis, Clay Dennis, Jason Mansley, and Carl Wayne Mansley.

Colby was born on May 14, 2001, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to his biological parents, Andrea Easterling Dennis and Aubrey Williamson Jr.  Colby was a great adventure; his life was not an easy one by any measurement. He was a blessing to everyone he encountered. He had a smile that would light any room and bring joy to your heart. Anyone who was lucky to know him was rewarded with the simple pleasures of life. Colby enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He liked listening to music and “Itsy Bitsy Spider “ was one of his favorites. Colby loved books and enjoyed being read to by his family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frances McKay and Ray Easterling and paternal great-grandfather, Douglas Bryant.

Survivors include his biological parents, Andrea Easterling Dennis and Aubrey Williamson Jr, both of Seminary; his adoptive parents, Fran Bryant Williamson and Aubrey Williamson Sr. of Seminary; a half-brother, John Williamson of Poplarville; three step brothers, Kris Dennis, Clay Dennis, and Nathan Dennis, all of Collins; maternal great-grandmother, Carolyn Knotts of Seminary; paternal great-grandmother, Barbara Williamson of Collins; uncle and aunt, Matthew and Whitney Williamson of Ellisville; his cousin, Bella Williamson of Ellisville; a special aunt and uncles, Nancy and Dean Estes of Seminary and Rayford Bryant of Seminary; and a host of extended aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Williamson family was to extend their love and appreciation to the physicians, nurses, and caretakers, who have shown their kindness, compassion, and special care to Colby over the years. Your dedication and gentle hearts make such a difference in the lives of so many. We are deeply grateful for your love and thoughtfulness.
