Corey David Ainsworth

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Corey David Ainsworth, 56 of Sumrall, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Ruleville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ruleville, Mississippi.

Dr. Timothy Hubbard will officiate at the services with interment to follow at the Cooley Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.

Pallbearers will be Greg Goolsby, Devon Goolsby, Alec Allseitz, Nathan Holybee, Ryan Deen, and Paul Whitehurst.

Mr. Ainsworth was born on August 13, 1969, in Collins, Mississippi to D.C. Ainsworth and Louise Ponder. He worked for Nabors Drilling Company in the offshore drilling industry for twenty years. Mr. Ainsworth was a member of the Crossway Family Worship Church in Jonesville, Louisiana. He was a loving son, father, and brother, and he will be dearly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, D.C. Ainsworth and Louise Ponder; and one sister, Frankie Atwood.

Survivors include one son, Wade Ainsworth; one daughter, Anna Beth Ainsworth; two sisters, Shannon Goolsby (Greg) of Sumrall and Renee Byrne of Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
