Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Still Waters Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas for Curtis Joseph Loya, Sr., 63 of Seminary, Mississippi. Mr. Loya passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Merit Health Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Interment will be in the Still Waters Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military rites at graveside. Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Texas will be in charge of the arrangements and Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Collins, Mississippi was in charge of the local arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Texas.

Mr. Loya was born on August 13, 1953 in Jacksonville, Texas. He retired from the United States Army after twenty two years of service to his country. Mr. Loya also retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after eight years of service as a guard. He was a Mason and very active in the Masonic Lodge in Texas and Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo Loya and Angelita Navarro Loya.

Survivors include his wife, Sally A. Crowe Loya of Seminary, Mississippi; five daughters, Christina Luce of Jacksonville, Texas; Belinda Walker of Emory, Texas; Nikkie Loya of Seminary, Mississippi; Donna Logan of Nappanee, Indiana; and Mary Kaetzer of Elkhart, Indiana; one son, Curtis Joseph Loya, Jr., of Jacksonville, Texas; one sister, Brenda Sue Arnold of Henderson, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
