Obituary

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Dan A. McIntosh, III, 81 of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at his residence in Collins.

Interment will be in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McIntosh was born on March 12, 1940 in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi.  He graduated from Mendenhall High School, and Millsaps College with a Bachelor's degree in History.  He then furthered his education at the University of Mississippi School of Law where he earned a law degree.  Mr. McIntosh has practiced law in Collins for the last fifty-five years and was an active member of the Mississippi Bar Association.  He was also a member of the Collins United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Schleinschok McIntosh; a son, Dan A. "Mac" McIntosh, IV.; and his parents, Dan A. McIntosh, Jr. and Georgia Barnes McIntosh.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Melissa Graham of Collins; two daughters, Pam McDaniel of Collins and Aundrea and Kyle Thames of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Adam Graham, Jimmy Graham, Kadie Graham, and Makenzie Thames; and a host of other family members and friends.
