Daniel William Harvey
(April 7, 1982 – September 4, 2023)

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Williamsburg Methodist Church in Collins for Daniel William Harvey, 41, of Sumrall, who passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at his residence.

Brother Wesley Kirkley, Brother Bob Lytle, and Brother Allen King will officiate the services with interment to follow in the Williamsburg Methodist Church Cemetery. Music will be provided by Mr. Brad Smith. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Williamsburg Methodist Church, 17 Sunset-Williamsburg Road, Collins, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Landon Harvey, Jason Duckworth, Kevin Daniel, Jay Cameron, Gabe Craft, Scott Pegram, Jason Leonard, and Layne McLaurin. Honorary pallbearers will be Vic Sasser, Greg Sullivan, Cliff Kelly, Justin Duckworth, Matt Robinson, Andy Gresham, and the Employees of Deep South Firetrucks,

Daniel was born on April 7, 1982, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was a 2000 graduate of Collins High School, where he earned titles of "best dressed" and "wittiest", among others. He is lovingly remembered for his infectious, charming, and funny personality and his remarkable musical ability which he inherited from his father. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, singing, songwriting, and playing the guitar. A loving father, son, brother, and friend, Daniel will be dearly missed by his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Lynn Harvey; maternal grandparents, Glynn and Patsy Daniel; and paternal grandparents, Don and Barbara "Flobaby" Harvey.

Survivors include his mother, Serita Ann Daniel of Sumrall; children, Landon Ray Harvey, Tripp Gibson Harvey, and Saenger Thomas Harvey, all of Collins; sister, Cher Harvey (Jonathan); nieces and nephews, Bella Smith, Jett Smith, and Emmy Lou Smith; and a host of cousins, extended family members, and friends.
