Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Seminary Baptist Church for David Robert Daniel, 90 of Seminary, who passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins.
Dr. Tim Hubbard will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Crosby Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Melanie Hubbard and Mr. Joel Thames. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Seminary Baptist Church in Seminary.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Mr. Daniel was born on March 1, 1929 in Gary, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Daniel was the owner and operator of Daniel's Supply in Seminary for twenty three years before his retirement in 1991. He was a member and deacon of the Seminary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Daniel, Myrtie Murphy Daniel, and Bernice Daniel; one sister, Maudie Gooddale; and two brothers, Rex Daniel and Alton Daniel.
Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Jackie Crosby Daniel of Seminary; one son, Randy Daniel, and his wife, Carol of Seminary; one daughter, Marsha Daniel Yates, and her husband, Chuck of Collins; two brothers, Bill Daniel and Mike Daniel, both of Denham Springs, Louisiana; two sisters, Peggy Betz and Shirley Allen, both of Denham Springs, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Todd Moore of Collins, Amanda Jones, and her husband, Ransom of Seminary, and Ashley Daniel Peden, and her husband, Chris of Madison; three great-grandchildren, Whitley Yates of Seminary; Finley Peden and Henry Peden, both of Madison; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
