Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Don Ghafouri-Ashtiani, 77 of Brandon, who passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. John Lam and Sied Razi will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Family will receive guests from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Billy M. King Funeral Home, 3202 US 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Lukens, Cameron Charaee, and Michael Lukens.
Don Ashtiani was a man whose kindness and selflessness touched the lives of everyone he met. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether to a close friend or a stranger in need. Don's genuine compassion and unwavering generosity made him a source of comfort and inspiration to his family and community. Though deeply missed, Don's legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Durham Ghafouri-Ashtiani; son, Michael Lukens, Sr.; parents, Khodad Ghafouri-Ashtiani and Hauj Ghafouri-Ashtiani.
Survivors include his five grandchildren, Hayden Lukens (Ava) of Brandon, Nevaeh Lukens of Brandon, Ashley Lukens (Bobby) of Polkville, Michael Lukens, Jr. (Stephanie) of Junction City, Kansas and Jennifer Lukens of Brandon; seven great grandchildren, Emmit Stephens, Elijah Stephens, John Michael Lukens, Alana Guthrie, Adalyn Guthrie, Avery Robertson and Walker Lukens and one nephew, Nasser Gharaee of Brandon.
