Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, October 31, 2022 at the Ora Cemetery in Collins for Don Edward Lott, 76 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Brother Glenn Shoemake will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Layton Lott, Wilson Lott, Jyntre Stroud, Oscar Hosey, Dwain Walters, and Shane Burke.
Mr. Lott was born on October 4, 1946 in Collins, Mississippi. He retired in 2015 after numerous years of service as a truck driver. Mr. Lott proudly served his country in the Mississippi National Guard. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lott was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Wilson Lott and Nellie Lou Sanford Lott; two brothers-in-law, Felton Aultman and Wayne Hosey; and two sisters-in-law, Bobbie Gail Hosey Stroud and Mary Katherine "Kat" Hosey Raby.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-two years, Mae Nell Hosey Lott of Collins; two sons, Timothy Don Lott and his wife, Missy of Seminary and Bucky Edward Lott, and his wife, Shelby of Sumrall; two brothers, Leon Lott of Collins and Exel Lott, and his wife, Linda of Seminary; one sister, Eva Doris Lott Aultman of Seminary; six grandchildren, Edward Layton Lott, Wilson Don Lott (Emma), Easton Edward Lott, Maddox Cole Lott, Liam Lott, and Erin Lott; three great-grandchildren, Sutton Edward Lott, Sawyer Brooks Lott, and Nolan Rhett Lott; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
