Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Ora Cemetery in Collins for Don Jackson White, 66 of Hattiesburg, who passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Rudolph Sims will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be his family members and friends.

Mr. White was born on August 4, 1951 in Magee, Mississippi. He retired from H. & D. Clutch after thirty plus years of service as a salesman. Mr. White was a member of the Ora Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Ruby Lee Gentry White; and his brother-in-law, Doug Merchant.

Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Linda Turner White of Hattiesburg; two step sons, Randall Smith of Hattiesburg, and Michael Smith of Gonzales, Louisiana; one sister, Doris White Merchant of Pearl; a niece, Leia Merchant Cooper of Pearl; a great nephew, Austin Sullivan of Mount Olive; six step grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St Jude's Children Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee, 38148-0142.
