Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Doris Jordan Parker, 68 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Covington County Hospital in Collins.
Reverend Rudolph Sims and Mrs. Kim Jordan Jones will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Marcy Brown, Mrs. Sue McCall, Mrs. Mary Anne Shoemake, and Mr. Ledrew Smith. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Donavan Keen, Tyler Keen, Jake Dickerson, Reggie Jones, Jeff Parrett, Malachi Jordan, Scott Pegram, and Joe King. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Dickerson.
Mrs. Parker was born on July 10, 1951 in Collins, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Parker retired after numerous years of service as a manager in the retail gas industry. She was a member of the Ora Baptist Church in Collins. Mrs. Parker was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie James Jordan and Gloria Mae Norris Jordan; two brothers, Ralph Jordan and Quinn Jordan; and one sister, Zelda Jordan.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Sidney E. "Duke" Parker of Collins; two daughters, Sidney Sampson, and her husband, David of Collins, and Dixie Kelly, and her husband, Ryan of Seminary; five grandchildren, Donavan Keen, Tyler Keen, Dalana Parker, Jordan Bailey, and Parker Bailey; two brothers, Billy Pat Jordan, and his wife, Karen and Wayne Jordan, and his wife, Michelle, all of Collins; three sisters, Kathy Garcia, and her husband, Roland of Gonzales, Texas, Betty Jo Taormina of Seminary, and Melissa Yarborough, and her husband, Larry of Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
