Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Seminary Baptist Church for Doris Lowery Trigg, 92 of Seminary, who passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Magnolia Place Retirement Home in Sumrall.

Dr. Timothy Hubbard and Reverend Frank Bishop will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Seminary Cemetery. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Donna Wilcosky and Mrs. Melanie Hubbard. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Seminary Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Chad Trigg, Eric Trigg, Justin Trigg, Chris Crawford, Don Lowery, and Rufus Trigg.

Mrs. Trigg was born on September 10, 1925 in Sanford, Mississippi. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Trigg was an active member of the Seminary Baptist Church until her decline in health.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Willie Lowery and Rosa Davis Lowery; her husband of sixty-eight years, Edwin Mervin Trigg; three brothers, Elder Bennett Lowery, Elder Billy Mack Lowery, and Herlon Lowery;five sisters, Paula Lowery Taormina, Frances Lowery Barrett, Jeanette Lowery Hoey, Joy Lowery Sanderford, and Shirley Lowery Leggett.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Trigg Miller, and her husband, Larry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sons, Edwin Richard Trigg, and his wife, Ledora and Michael Mervin Trigg, and his wife, Rene', all of Seminary; one brother, Thomas Lowery of Madison; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
