Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Dorothy Carolyn "Dot" Coulter, 83, of Hattiesburg, who passed away on Friday July 19, 2019, at the Hattiesburg Health and Rehab in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Reverend Gary Shows will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Coulter was born on January 7, 1936 in Shubuta, Mississippi.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  Mrs. Coulter was a member of Temple Baptist Church and actively involved in the children's ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Carrie Ward Covington; a son, Gary Coulter; two sisters; and seven brothers.

Survivors include her son, Keith Coulter, and his wife, Kim; four grandsons, Michael Coulter (Christi), Chris Coulter (Jessica), Matthew Coulter (Lauren), and Kyle Coulter; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Roper Covington; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Temple Baptist Church Children Ministries, 5220 Old Highway 11, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, 39402.
