Dorothy A. Wykle Hearn
(September 17, 1924 - November 1, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for Dorothy A. Wykle Hearn, 97 of Collins, who passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Asbury House in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Mike Davis will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Reverend Brian Dickens. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be Greg Saulters, Vic Sasser, Andy Jones, Jeremiah Lindley, Kenny Carlisle, Paul Keys, George Lightsey and Billy Dossett. Honorary pallbearers will be Hudson Sasser, James Earl Anglin, Jerry Sanford, and Harold Dickens.

Mrs. Hearn was born on September 17, 1924 in Sanger, West Virginia to James French Wykle and Winnie Cantley Wykle. She was one of six children. Mrs. Hearn retired after twenty years of service in retails sales. She was a member of the Cold Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James French Wykle and Winnie Cantley Wykle; her husband, Henry B. Hearn; a daughter-in-law, Frances Hearn; one brother, James Wykle; and four sisters, Margaret Wykle Welch, Mildred Wykle McNulty, Charlotte Wykle Comedy, and Nona Wykle McIel.

Survivors include her son, Walter J. Hearn of Collins; two granddaughters, Jamie Hearn and Mandy Hearn, both of Hattiesburg; one great-granddaughter, Marly Bryant of Hattiesburg; one great-grandson, Hudson Sasser of Hattiesburg; and a host of nieces and nephews.
