Dorothy Jean "Dot" Morris

(October 16, 1932 – June 5, 2019)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Salem Baptist Church in Collins, MS for Dot Morris, 86 of Collins, who passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins.

Bro. Dennis Campbell will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, MS.  Billy M, King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements. 601-765-1010

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Salem Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be William Ezell, John David West, Chris Peden, Stephen Thaxton, Roy Gill and Greg Rutland.

She was preceded in death by her parents,  Russell Charles "Buck"  Thaxton and Ina Marie Speed Thaxton; siblings, Charles Wayne Thaxton, Betty Thaxton Kelly, Charlene Thaxton Rutland and infant brother, Thaxton.

Survivors include her husband, William Lewis "Billy" Morris; daughters,  Charlotte Hawkins (Joey), Seminary, MS and Carol Daniel (Randy), Seminary, MS; grandchildren, Caroline West (John David), Sumrall, MS, Ashley Peden (Chris), Madison, MS, William Ezell, Seminary, MS; great grandchildren, Anna Grace Ezell, Seminary, MS, Sam West, Sumrall, MS, Finley and Henry Peden, Madison, MS and a host of other family members.
