Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Dovie Mae Wilson Leggett, 81 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Brother Ricky Mitchell will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Mount Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Chris McDaniel, Colby McDaniel, Farold Guilbeau, Robert Dale Wilson, Steven Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Will Williams, and Wayne Wilson.
Mrs. Leggett was born on September 17, 1937 in the Lone Star Community of Collins, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Leggett was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Galloway and Mary Elizabeth Phillips Wilson; one daughter, Margaret Elaine Jackson; one, son, Kenneth Eugene McDaniel; and four brothers, Harvey Wilson, Ray Wilson, Ernest Wilson, and Hardy Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of forty-four years, Randall L. Leggett of Seminary; three sons, William Benton McDaniel of Seminary, Randall C. McDaniel (Janice) of Laurel, and Carl Howard McDaniel (Linda) of Seminary; one daughter, Helen Juanita Williams (Bill) of Petal; three brothers, Claudie Wilson, Allen Wilson, and Ellzey Wilson, all of Raleigh; two sisters, Emma Jean Wilson and Mary Beth Piner, both of Raleigh; twelve grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and other family members.
