Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Earlene Lucille Trigg, 79 of Seminary, who passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Dr. Timothy Hubbard and Reverend Thomas Graves will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Seminary Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Earlene was married to the love of her life, Billy Trigg, for thirty-two years. She was an avid gardener and helped God spread his colors through her flowers. She loved the Lord and her family. She enjoyed teaching children at Sunday School and working as an elementary school assistant. She was a graduate of Seminary High School Class of 1963. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Billy" Trigg, Jr.; parents, Earl Graves and Myrtis McDaniel Graves; one brother, Bartie Graves.
Survivors include her daughter, Darlene Gatwood Logan (Kenny) of Petal; son, John Gatwood of Baldwyn; two step-sons, Shannon Trigg (Pam) of Atlanta, Georgia and Joe Trigg (Linda) of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Shirley Graves Martin of Hattiesburg; five grandchildren, Bryson Trigg, Tyler Trigg, Jeremy Trigg, Amber McIntyre and Joci Trigg; one sister-in-law, Betty Carter Graves of Seminary and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
