Eddy was born in Seminary, Mississippi on June 17, 1943. He was born and raised in Mississippi, but he moved to Texas for a short time before returning to south Mississippi where he worked as the Safety Manager at Howard Transportation in Ellisville for 21 years. Eddy had three daughters and gained two more daughters after marrying his wife Katherine of almost 30 years. It was a blended family, but Eddy referred to all of them as his "gurls." Eddy was a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a caring Papa. He was a quiet man, but when he spoke, it was important. Eddy could often be found sitting in his swing, watching NASCAR, or mowing his immaculate yard. An enthusiast of American climate patterns, he was the weatherman we never knew we needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L.B. and Hattie Clark Bullock.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Henigan Bullock of Purvis; five daughters, Lisa Simmons (Dale) of Purvis, Kim Bullock of Cypress, Texas, Leslie Shattles (Nicholas) of Purvis, Jamie Deen (Josh) of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Brittney Miller (Sam) of Madison; seven grandchildren, Sarah Simmons, Caroline Deen, Gracie Bullock, Jack Deen, Hayden Shattles, Nolan Shattles, and Rowan Miller; one sister, Ann Bullock McDaniel of Houston, Texas., and a host of other family members and friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas, 75284.
