Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Billy M. King Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins, MS for Edward "Bro" Parish, Jr., 71, of Wiggins, MS who passed way Thursday, July 20, 2017 at his residence in Wiggins.
Bro. Don Hill will officiate at the services with interment to follow in Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Billy M King Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2017 from 5:30 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. at Billy M. King Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
"Bro" Parish was born Friday, September 21, 1945 in Collins. He was known by many nicknames that were terms of endearment, but to all that ever met him he was known as "Friend." His character was larger than his message; his influence was greater than his heart. He will always be remembered as a man that lived and showed unconditional love.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Parish, Sr. and Doris Parish; two brothers, Larry and J.D. Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie "Nell" Parish, of Wiggins; four sons, Gary Boutwell (Connie), Danny Bishop (Jennie), Fabian Parish (Lisa), all of Hattiesburg, and Chuck E. Parish (Danita), of Petal; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Charlie Parish (Nanci), of Picayune; two sisters, Carolyn Riley (James), and Myra Hernandez (Juan), of Collins; Coco-Bella, his best friend; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mrs. Nell.
