Elizabeth Ann Rosson Yates

(September 5, 1930 – January 17, 2021)

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Mount Olive Cemetery in Mount Olive for Elizabeth Ann Rosson Yates, 90 of Collins, and formerly of Mount Olive, who passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Reverend Seth Sullivan will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery in Mount Olive.  Special music will be provided by her granddaughter, Jessica Carr Cade.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Joe McRaney and her grandchildren, Will Yates, Brit Yates, Jay Yates, Zoey Yates, G.B. Sanders, Joey Sanders, Melissa Sanders, Jon Sanders, Nick Carr, Joe Carr, and Jessica Carr Cade.

Mrs. Yates was born on September 5, 1930 in Wheeler, Alabama to Rollin Bass Rosson and Faustina Essary Rosson.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Mrs. Yates was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Master's Degree in Education.  She retired after thirty-one years of service in the Education/Administration industry.  Mrs. Yates held numerous positions and worked for several different school systems throughout her career. She was a member of the Magee Church of Christ in Magee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollin Bass Rosson and Faustina Essary Rosson; her husband, Fred C. Yates, Jr.; a daughter, Dianne Yates; a brother, Bobby Jack Rosson; and a sister, Christine Rosson Hubbard.

Survivors include her husband, Denson Lott of Collins; three children, Deborah Yates Sanders of Clinton, George William Yates, and his wife, Melissa of Vancleave, and Cynthia Zoe Yates Mott, and her husband, Mickey of Vicksburg; a sister, Jane Rosson Hensley of Sardis; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
