Elowise, known as meme to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was a generous soul who devoted her life to caring for her family and making them feel loved. She found great joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her eyes lit up when she talked about her family, and she never missed a chance to celebrate their achievements. In her earlier years, she enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking. She could make anything taste good. Ever kind and giving, she welcomed everyone. Her days were spent selflessly caring for those she loved. Her greatest joy was found in serving others. The work of her hands will be only surpassed by the love in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James McBeth; her parents, Joe Lofton and Alma Brown Lofton.
Survivors include her two sons, Bob McBeth of Saucier and Carl McBeth of Mount Olive, one grandson, Bobby McBeth of Gulfport; one granddaughter, Miranda McBeth Rogers (Jeffery) of McHenry and two great grandchildren, James Morgan Rogers and Vivianne Rogers.
